AGROBAND - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

MOUNTING
The placement unit is mounted centrally on the front of the planter tractor, using brackets supplied with the machine. (These brackets are not designed to fit specific tractors and may require modifications at the users expense, to suit individual models). Brackets for front three point linkage are available, in lieu of standard brackets.

HYDRAULICS
Minimum requirements: 1 x double acting valve. Standard length flexible hydraulic pipes are supplied.

CONTROLS
The operating of the hydraulic ram, to raise or lower the coulters, also lifts and lowers the wheel driving the metering units.

HOPPER
White polyethylene, fitted with folding waterproof cover, with a capacity of approximately 12 CWT (610 Kg)

METERING SYSTEM
Consists of two, double outlet “Jumbo” fluted rotor metering units, driven via roller chains and a landwheel.

CALIBRATION
Is easily carried out, before entering the field, using the fertilizer to be applied.  Changes to application rates are made by substituting sprockets in the drive – train.

STANDS
R H S parking stands are supplied, as standard, with the machine.

Note: Whilst the Agroband was specifically designed for use on potatoes, it has been successfully used with other crops.
