The Microstat provides a new standard in cleanliness and quality of distribution for post harvest chemical application for potatoes, vegetables and fruit. The Microstat has been developed by Horstine Farrnery from the original concept first tested at Rothamsted Experimental Station.  A patented method electrostatically charges spray droplets as they disperse from a uniquely designed spinning disc.  A specially shaped deflector hood is also charged so that droplets are deflected downwards and inwards on to the layer of potatoes passing along the roller table.

Low Volume Electrostatic Sprayer

IDEALLY SUITED FOR THE APPLICATION OF FUNGICIDES: at the doses recommended for treating seed potatoes or for small scale ware treatment.

CLEANLINESS IN OPERATION: no accumulation of chemical around the edge of the roller table or on the floor below.

LESS RISK OF DRIFT OF CHEMICAL SPRAY INTO THE ENVIRONMENT: where operators are normally working

EVEN DISTRIBUTION OF CHEMICAL on each potato tuber and from one tuber to another, thereby ensuring a more reliable performance from the chemical.

A ROBUST AND RELIABLE DESIGN SIMPLE TO OPERATE: easily adjusted for different chemicals.

AUTOMATIC WASHING SYSTEM: to ensure that the equipment is left clean when not in use.

AUTOMATIC CUT OFF: So that spraying stops when potato supply is interrupted.
