Rogator 418

Designed with the toughest operating conditions in mind, the Challenger RoGator 418 offers exceptional strength and durability, together with performance that ensures optimum output in all conditions. The Challenger RoGator 418 can return consistently high work rates over extended periods to ensure that applications are made in a timely and efficient manner, even over extremely large acreage.

Engine & Chassis

Fitted with the common rail 4 cylinder Sisu CWA 4,9L, you can be guaranteed excellent performance, regardless of operating conditions. Designed for high-speed operation with very heavy loads in extreme conditions, the welded steel space frame chassis and axles have proved to be very durable and can comfortably manage a 3,500-litre, 36-metre spray pack in liquid fertilizer applications. The front and rear axles can be fitted with the option of hydraulically adjusted track. The underside has an extremely smooth profile with a clearance of up to 1.1m to minimize crop damage.

Transmission

Rogator 418 offers 3 speed shifts on the move with a similar feel in operation to a power shift transmission. The combined with Challenger’s unique “drive sensing system”, gives tractor drivability in a hydrostatic machine. In transport this system can reduce fuel consumption whilst increasing driver comfort and confidence. In the field operating with Rogator’s cruise control system “ drive sensing” ensures that maximum power is transmitted to the wheels at all times, giving exceptional power response for hill climbing and tough conditions. The optional electronic traction control system can be specified to deliver power equally to all four wheel motors to maximize traction in extreme working conditions. For added safety and security in extreme terrain and on the road, Rogator 418 can be specified with high capacity drum brakes.

Cab & Steering

The spacious, pressurized cab is ergonomically designed for comfort and safety. A wide door offers easy access into the fully trimmed quiet, ISO mounted cab. Long working days are a pleasure thanks to the fully adjustable, pneumatic seat. The large interior also allows for practical use of the fold out driver training seat. Comprehensive instrumentation and logical controls make light work of operation, whilst the large glass area provides excellent visibility. The heating and air conditioning maintains comfortable working environment for the operator, irrespective of ambient conditions. The light and precise steering gives excellent manoeuvrability with selection from 2 to 4 wheel steer via a foot switch. The adjustable steering column ensures the perfect driving position.

Suspension

The chassis is fully suspended. The rear axle is mounted via two heavy-duty Aeon suspension units, whilst the front is equipped with a hydrostatic suspension system for an extremely comfortable ride.
